How to translate *.po file?

In every *.po file there is a key and a value pair. Here is the example of the file contents:

msgid "key text 1"
msgstr "translation text for key text 1"

msgid "key text 2"
msgstr "translation text for key text 2"
...

if you want a translation to be correct, you should add/change the text between the quotation marks in the rows starting with msgstr. If you start changing texts in those rows that begin with msgid, then the translation won’t take effect.

What is required to get a language set in bInspiration.com?

• You need to translate the file mentioned above - default.po. Please rename it with i18n convention. Here is a link to localisation list. So, if for example you translated the file in Polish, then the translated file which we need to receive is pol.po.
  
  
• Provide at least 2 key pairs which will be set as "fixed" for that language. It's good if they are more general so that they can prompt more associations. Good examples are will-good, do-have, want-could, but there could be others, more sensible and inspirational pairs that sound better in your language.
  
  
• Once you complete the translation, you should contact us through the form on the site, and we will reach you.
  
  
• If everything is fine and once the translation is set, send us your contacts, so that your name and possibly site appear in our credits page.
